Dear Families and Staff,
Thank you for your continued support of our schools, our students, and our community. Last night, Wayne-Westland voters elected Shannnon Rochon, Frederick Weaver and Andrew Ambrus to serve on the Board of Education beginning January 1, 2025.
Thank you to all the candidates for your willingness to serve our community and support our students. We also want to express our gratitude to Mr. Bradley Gray and Mr. Mark Neal, whose terms will conclude on December 31, 2024. Mr. Neal has been a dedicated member of the Board since January 2019, and Mr. Gray joined in November 2023. Both have offered exceptional leadership and stability to our district. Serving on a school board is one of the most vital roles in any community, and we are fortunate to have such committed individuals willing to contribute to our Board of Education. Congratulations to Dr. Weaver on his continued appointment, and to Mr. Ambrus and Mr. Rochon on their new appointments—welcome aboard!
We want to express our deepest gratitude to the community for renewing the Wayne-Westland Replacement Operating Millage and the Wayne RESA Renewal of Regional Enhancement Millage. Your commitment to providing every learner with the resources they need to succeed reflects our shared values and dedication to all students. The funding from these millages directly benefits students throughout our district, enabling us to meet the needs of every student. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our learners.
Sincerely,
Jen Curry
Interim Superintendent
