Attention: Annual State Testing for students in Grades 3-11

State Testing Information

This spring our students will be taking the required annual state tests during the window of April 7, 2025 through May 15, 2025. Please click to review all of the testing details.

Depending on the grade, students will participate in the following assessments:

  • Grades 3, 4, 6 & 7 - M-Step ELA and Math tests
  • Grade 5 - M-Step ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies tests
  • Grade 8 - PSAT 8 for ELA & Math AND M-Step for Science and Social Studies
  • Grades 9 & 10 - PSAT 9 and PSAT 10 for ELA and Math
  • Grades 11** -  Michigan Merit Exam which has three components
    • SAT with Essay college entrance exam for ELA and Math
    • ACT WorkKeys work skills assessment
    • M- Step for Science and Social Studies
  • **12th grade students that did not complete the MME last year will be required to complete this battery of tests this year

Please refer to the communication from your child’s school for specific dates and times of testing.

Some students with an IEP may be taking the MI-Access test in place of these assessments.
