Take the time to register your student for a African Dance class. This is a free class provided only to Hicks students. Transportation is not provided. The students will showcase the dance they learn at an all school assembly in February for African American History Month. Please take note the class is at the Booker Dozier Rec Center. If you have any questions, please use the numbers on the flyer.

Dear Families and Staff,
The district and the teachers’ union have been working collaboratively through contract negotiations for the past several months. While we have not confirmed all calendar dates, we have agreed to the following calendar for January 2025.
Monday, January 6: School resumes
Wednesday, January 15: Half day- high school (morning only) Final exams
Thursday, January 16: Half day- middle and high school students (morning only) Final exams
Friday, January 17: Half day- K-12 (morning only) End of first semester
Monday, January 20: No School (MLK, Jr. Day)
