We also believe that parent support at home with homework and practice is important to a child's school success and that teachers' utilization of research-based teaching practices will engage all students to achieve their personal best.

Good Afternoon,

We are excited to see you at Open House today (August 25th) from 4:00-5:00! Doors will unlock at 4:00 and you'll be able to meet your child's teacher, tour the school, etc. If you weren't able to see your teacher assignment on Parent Connection, we will have staff by the front door and in the office to assist you! Bus stop information and pick up/drop off times are also listed on Parent Connection.

Wayne-Westland Superintendent Update

Dear Wayne-Westland Families,

I want to assure all of you that, despite what is happening in Lansing and Washington, D.C., regarding both budgets. As you likely know, the state Legislature passed a Continuation Budget that will keep the state government open through October 8, 2025. Meanwhile, in Washington, D.C., lawmakers failed to reach a budget deal, and a federal shutdown is now in effect. While this means our funding remains in question, the Board of Education and district leaders thoughtfully allocated resources so there would be no disruption for our students.
