Dear Wayne-Westland Community Schools Community and Staff,

This evening, the Board of Education formally approved a Resignation and Resolution Agreement with Superintendent John Dignan, Ed.D, who has been on administrative leave for the past several weeks. The terms outlined in the Agreement have been mutually-agreed-upon by all parties. The Board wishes to express its appreciation for Dr. Dignan’s service to the District and community.

We also want to express our appreciation to Jennifer Curry, our acting Superintendent. She and her leadership team have been hard at work preparing for another successful school year. The Wayne-Westland school district continues to move forward under her strong and capable leadership. This team is committed to the mission of ensuring that all students are prepared to be knowledgeable, responsible, contributing members of a global society.

Finally, we want to express our appreciation to the teachers and staff who have been hard at work planning for our students return to the classroom. Their commitment to providing each student with a quality education is at the heart of why our parents and community members trust and send their children to Wayne-Westland Community Schools. Thank you for all that you do.

As we look to the coming days, the board, the leadership, teachers, and staff are all excited for the upcoming school year and the possibilities ahead. Together we will partner with our community to continue to provide an outstanding education to every child.

Sincerely,

Bradley Gray

Board President
