Under Michigan law, it is a crime to make a threat against a school or district, even if the person had no intent or capability to carry it out.
Wayne-Westland Community Schools takes all threats seriously and will work closely with law enforcement to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.
We encourage you to talk with your children about their online presence, digital responsibility, and the seriousness of making any threat.
