Safety is our number 1 priority in the parking lot. Please adhere to these expectations so the parking lot can be as safe as possible. Please pack your patience and don't speed, We have had several close calls. We value your time and have tried to make arrival and dismissal as expedient as possible.

Cars should pull into the outside lane (closest to school) to pick up kids, and once they pick up their kid, pull to the left (inside lane) to leave. Please see image below.

Please do not park in the fire lane - which means do not get out of your car. The fire lane is the entire front loop.

Pull as close as possible to the curb when picking up a student. Students shouldn't be running in front of a line of traffic to get to their car.

When you have your kids, pull into the left lane.

When exiting, if you're in the right lane when you get to the exit, go right. If you're in the left lane, go left. There have been several near accidents at the exit.

Teach kids to get into the car on the passenger side so they’re not crossing behind or in front of other cars.

Please also ask kids to get into the car as quickly as possible.

We invite you to join us for Kindergarten Round Up on March 13 at any of our amazing elementary schools here in Wayne-Westland. During Kindergarten Round Up, families will learn about our kindergarten curriculum, meet teachers and staff, tour the school and explore enrollment options.

Dear Wayne-Westland Community School District Community,

As we step into March, we are proud to celebrate School Social Work Week (March 1–7). During this special week, we recognize the tireless efforts of our school social workers who are vital links between students, families and the resources they need.

*Section 105c schools of choice programs provide students with the option to enroll in a school district that is within another intermediate school district but shares a boundary line with their intermediate school district.

The Intra-County School of Choice window is March 2, 2026 through August 28, 2026.

All applicants MUST submit a two-year behavior report (grades 1-12), along with the Affirmation of Prior Discipline form filled out by parent/guardian and the previous school. All applicants MUST also submit their most recent report card (grades 6-8) or high school transcript (grades 9-12).

Families are responsible for transportation. For more information, call the Curriculum and Instruction office at 734-419-2083.

A BEHAVIOR REPORT FROM THE LAST TWO YEARS,  ATTENDANCE RECORD, AND REPORT CARD/TRANSCRIPT MUST BE TURNED IN BEFORE THE APPLICATION IS REVIEWED. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
