How are flyers distributed?

  • Families receive flyers via email based on the school their student attends.
  • Flyers are posted on each school's website, as well as listed on this page.

All flyers must adhere to the flyer approval guidelines outlined below.

Information on how to sign up as an outside vendor is also listed below.

By enabling our district to go paperless, Peachjar helps us save thousands of trees each year.

Using Peachjar for digital flyer distribution makes it easier for families to receive school and community information and resources.

Peachjar For Families

Peachjar is a digital flyer distribution platform that distributes school-approved flyers directly to parents' emails.  Email addresses will not be shared or used for any other purpose.

You can also look for the 'Peachjar' icon on your school website to view all active flyers.

Peachjar For Businesses And Organizations

Share your organization's upcoming events and resources with our community. Peachjar charges a fee for this service, typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers.

Paper flyers from outside organizations will no longer be distributed.

 

Wayne-Westland Community Schools Flyer Approval Guidelines

The following guidelines must be met for flyers to be considered for digital distribution:

  • All flyers must contain the name and contact information of the sponsoring organization, as well as any other pertinent details.
  • All flyers must be submitted in PDF format and smaller than 3 MB in file size.
  • The flyer will automatically have the following disclaimer added: This program is not sponsored by Wayne-Westland Community Schools. Approval to distribute flyers is a community service and does not imply endorsement.
  • Flyers must support the basic educational mission of Wayne-Westland Community Schools, be of value or enrichment nature to students and/or their families and a benefit to the Wayne-Westland Community Schools community.
  • Any advertised events should take place in the communities surrounding the Wayne-Westland Community Schools District.
  • Wayne-Westland Community Schools reserves the right to deny any flyer that directly competes with a district program or initiative.

Wayne-Westland Community Schools will not approve flyers that:

  • Contain advertising logos or promotions for any business/organization other than the approved entity.
  • Solicit funds, with the exception of those that directly benefit Wayne-Westland Community Schools students or initiatives.
  • Incite students to commit unlawful acts, violate school rules, or disrupt the orderly operation of schools.
  • Promote sale or use of materials or services that are illegal or inconsistent with school objectives, including, but not limited to, materials or advertisements for tobacco, vaping products, intoxicants, movies, or products unsuitable for children.
  • Are lewd, obscene, libelous, or slanderous
  • Promote any particular political interest, candidate, party, or ballot measure, unless the candidates or advocates from all sides are provided the opportunity to present their views to the students during school hours or scheduled events. Discriminate against, attack or denigrate any group based on gender, race, age, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, disability or other unlawful consideration.
  • Proselytize religious beliefs.
  • Imply the school district's endorsement of any identified product or service.
