Adlai Stevenson Middle School staff will provide a supportive, educational environment where all students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to promote responsible citizenship, lifelong learning, and productive employment in a global society.

Beliefs
Stevenson Middle School believes that education is not limited to the classroom. It is, however, the individual’s ability to use what has been learned and to be better today than yesterday. Wherever students are, we want them to use their time, energy and talents to do their best. We believe this emphasis will help students become good citizens and life-long learners.

The following excerpt from the poem, The Choice is Mine, depicts the direction we want our students to follow:
