WWCS Technology and Innovation Mission

The Wayne-Westland Community Schools Technology Department supports students, staff, and administration by providing secure, reliable access to digital tools and resources that enhance teaching and learning in the classroom and beyond. Its fundamental purpose is to remove technical barriers so that educators can teach, students can learn, and the district can operate effectively, efficiently, securely, and equitably. We are focused on excellent service for all of our stakeholders.

"We make learning possible for every student, every day."

Goals and strategies for technology use

  • Prepare learners to succeed by using technology to provide equal learning opportunities for all students and to support student achievement.
  • Provide the technology to continually update and enhance the teaching/learning process.
  • Support efficient and effective communication within the District, with parents, and with the community.
  • Use technological tools to enhance productivity and the efficient use of District resources.
  • Provide the support necessary to ensure the effective use of technology.

"We’re not just here to fix computers—we’re here to make a difference."
