Wayne Westland Community Schools serves students from Wayne, Westland, Canton, Dearborn Heights, Inkster, and Romulus. The district promotes high expectations for success
and provides an equitable quality education for all students. I am proud to be part of a long standing tradition of loyalty, excellence and devotion to a district that holds such
precious memories for so many people. We are proud of each and every graduate.
The progress our district has made over the past few years illustrates that when a school and community work together, extraordinary results occur. All of our schools are
accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Significant gains in student achievement are occurring throughout the district. Wayne- Westland recently completed a
$108 million bond construction project that has transformed all of our buildings into 21st century schools.
In addition, the district has passed an additional $30 million “Sinking Fund” to continue the prosperity and educational excellence. Our educational program continues
to move forward and our focus will continue to be on children.
